Yesterday I found an unusual product on Light In The Box's website. It is an item that seems to attach to a wall, operates off solar energy, and projects a picture on the wall and is called '2 Pcs Outdoor Solar Waterproof Iron Hollow Eagle Projection Wall Lights, Decorative LED Lanterns for Fence, Pathway, Steps, Staircase, Porch, Yard Ambient.' I wanted to reach the company to verify how the device attached to a wall.

I sent my question to customer service and an agent responded by clarifying the question. Then I received a notice asking for my credit card number and implied that an agent would respond to my question only if I paid! It said the fee was 'refundable' but didn't specify the terms and conditions for refundability. I have never paid a company to provide me information regarding a purchase and do not intend to start now!

The reason for the question is that the ad for the product was inadequate! I'm not paying for their inadequacies!

Too bad, it looked like a neat product, but giving them money to answer a simple question that should have been provided is not my idea of customer service. And, I'm not going to deal with a company that has such low esteem for their customers, expecting me to pay for their errors!

That wasn’t the company you contacted. That was malware/pop-up to a third party subscription site for consumer questions. LITB will answer questions on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
